The New England Patriots Basis and Financial institution of America are awarding $50,000 items to 6 native nonprofits, together with Braintree-based Good Sports activities, which gives tools to younger athletes in communities of want.
The opposite recipients have been Casa Myrna in Dorchester, which serves home abuse victims; the social service organizations Father Invoice’s & MainSpring in Plymouth; Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción in Boston; Minds Matter Boston; and a Boston Archdiocese housing help workplace.
The donations are a part of the Group Captains program run by the inspiration and the financial institution, and have been introduced by retired Patriots linebacker and NFL Corridor of Famer Andre Tippett, who now leads the group’s neighborhood relations efforts.
