Patriots grant veteran safety’s request for release

The Patriots granted veteran security Marcus Epps’ request to be launched on Tuesday, in response to a supply.

Epps believed he was not a match with the Patriots and requested to be launched throughout Tuesday’s roster cutdowns.

Epps, 29, had a quiet summer season with the Patriots after signing a one-year contract as a free agent this offseason. The veteran defender entered the summer season with six years of NFL expertise below his belt, beginning 45 video games with the Eagles and Raiders. He entered the league in 2019 with the Vikings as a sixth-round pick of Wyoming.

The transfer leaves the Patriots with Jabrill Peppres, Jaylinn Hawkins, Craig Woodson, Dell Pettus, Kyle Dugger and Brenden Schooler at security. The discharge bodes properly for Pettus’ possibilities of making the 53-man roster.
