    Patriots rookie to retain starting job on offense after injury

    Patriots rookie left guard Jared Wilson is again wholesome after sitting out final week’s recreation with knee and ankle accidents.

    Vrabel expects Wilson to start out in Sunday’s recreation towards the Payments.

    “He’s labored laborious to return again, and so, as of proper now, the plan is to start out Jared and proceed that improvement there on the left aspect and his play,” head coach Mike Vrabel stated. “And if we want Ben [Brown] or we want Vederian [Lowe] or we want Marcus [Bryant], these guys are able to step in there and carry out within the recreation like Ben did final week.”

    Brown crammed in admirably for Wilson in final Sunday’s win over the Panthers and can return to his function as a prime backup behind Wilson and beginning middle Garrett Bradbury.

    Wilson, a 2025 third-round select of Georgia, has allowed two QB hits and 7 hurries in three video games. Brown let up two hurries as a left guard towards the Panthers.

    The Patriots’ offensive line, as a complete, has exceeded expectations this season. They rank fourth — simply above the Payments — in cross blocking effectivity.
