    Patriots re-sign ex-starting defensive tackle in series of roster moves

    The Patriots made a slight risk Saturday, after they waived defensive deal with Jeremiah Pharms Jr. from their 53-man roster, making him accessible to the remainder of the NFL.

    The danger paid off, and no different NFL workforce claimed Pharms. The Patriots re-signed him to their apply squad Tuesday, releasing cornerback Brandon Crossley in a corresponding roster transfer.

    Pharms, 29, has performed three video games this season, registering three tackles, one deal with for loss and one QB hit. The veteran defensive deal with began three of 16 recreation appearances for the Patriots in 2024 and recorded two sacks.

    The 6-foot-2, 300-pound defensive lineman, who performed within the Champions Indoor Soccer league and USFL earlier than becoming a member of the Patriots, was first signed in 2022. He performed at Sacramento Metropolis Faculty, San Joaquin Delta Faculty and Buddies Faculty in his lengthy journey to the NFL.

    Crossley spent coaching camp with the Patriots earlier than being re-signed in November.

    The Patriots activated defensive deal with Milton Williams and left deal with Will Campbell after they waived Pharms. The Patriots now have Williams, Christian Barmore, Khyiris Tonga, Cordy Durden and Eric Gregory on their 53-man roster at defensive deal with. Pharms joins defensive tackles Leonard Taylor III and Fabien Lovett on the apply squad.
