    The Faculty of the Holy Cross honored all-time nice Bob Cousy by naming its house courtroom in his honor Saturday in Worcester.

    The ground contained in the Hart Heart on the Luth Athletic Complicated is now formally Bob Cousy ’50 Court docket – a nod to the 1947 NCAA nationwide champion who went on to win six titles with the Celtics.

    Cousy, 97, attended the ceremony and saluted the group at mid-court earlier than the lads’s basketball group outlasted Lehigh, 76-67.

    They even distributed purple “Cousys” for followers to retailer their drinks.

    Invoice Simmons was in the home to commemorate the event. Former Massachusetts governor and present NCAA president Charlie Baker attended the occasion as properly.
