    Boston taxpayers not footing bill to send Seattle kids to World Cup: Mayor Wu’s office

    Mayor Michelle Wu isn’t utilizing metropolis {dollars} to send Seattle kids to an expensive World Cup match of their house metropolis, a spokesperson from her workplace has informed the Herald.

    “As a part of a pleasant Tremendous Bowl wager between Boston and Seattle,” the spokesperson stated, “Mayor Wu and the Boston26 World Cup Host Committee labored in partnership with the Seattle World Cup Host Committee to supply 12 tickets to a FIFA World Cup match for younger folks from Seattle at no expense to the Metropolis of Boston.”

    The Herald reported earlier this week that Wu and Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson agreed to ship World Cup tickets to the Tremendous Bowl’s profitable metropolis.
