Feehan dominated the third and fourth units to overwhelm the Bishops and earn a bounce-back 3-1 win (25-27, 26-24, 25-8, 25-9) at McIntyre Gymnasium after dropping its first match of the season final week.

“We had been battling by that, and we responded properly,” Feehan head coach Heidi Bruschi mentioned. “The workforce that I wished to see on the ground got here out within the final two units and actually put their foot on the fuel.”

Feehan (7-1) overcame a six-point deficit within the second set because of the sturdy serving of Brooke Mitchell and stellar play of Caroline Dunn (team-high 16 kills), who completed the stanza off with three straight kills.

Mia Barnes and Shannon Lamorticelli imposed their will over the ultimate two units to spearhead the Shamrocks. Lamorticelli notched seven kills and was a robust net-front presence as Feehan began the third set with a 14-2 run.

Archbishop Williams was a part of the gauntlet Feehan is dealing with in the course of its season because the Shamrocks tackle most of the state’s heavy hitters over the following couple of the weeks.

And the win over the Bishops helped get Feehan heading in the right direction with loads of extra challenges upcoming.

“After we constructed the schedule, we talked about it, we need to play the very best groups. We need to battle for it and compete,” Bruschi mentioned. “We’ve fairly the street forward of us however I feel we found out somewhat bit about who we need to be right this moment and I like that.”
