    5-time Professional Bowl cornerback Stephon Gilmore introduced his retirement from the NFL with a put up on Instagram Thursday afternoon.

    Gilmore, 35, performed 13 seasons within the NFL. His four-year stint with the Patriots was the second-longest period of time he spent with one staff, trailing solely Buffalo.

    Gilmore started his profession with the Payments and stayed in Buffalo for 5 seasons. His first head coach with the Payments was Doug Marrone, who’s now teaching offensive line with the Patriots.
