The Purple Sox have already misplaced this weekend’s collection to the Yankees and seen their playoff positioning develop extra precarious by the day.

Luckily, they’ll have their ace on the mound for Sunday night time’s collection finale.

Garrett Crochet will take the hill tonight because the Purple Sox look to keep away from a house sweep by the hands of their largest rival. Crochet (15-5, 2.57) will face off towards New York’s Will Warren (8-6, 4.22) in hopes to snapping Boston’s three-game dropping streak.

The Purple Sox may even look to regain their footing after seeing every of their prime playoff rivals rip off prolonged win streaks. Coming into Sunday the Mariners had received eight straight, the Rangers six straight, Blue Jays and Rangers 4 straight, and the Yankees and Guardians three straight video games.

Boston’s lineup will largely stay the identical, with Jarren Duran, Alex Bregman and Trevor Story going 1-2-3 with Rob Refsnyder in proper discipline, Carlos Narvaez behind the dish and Romy Gonzalez at second base.
