    Jacob Klass breaks Beverly record with monster performance

    Jacob Klass, who netted his 1,000th profession level earlier this month, earned one other milestone Thursday evening as he dropped in a faculty document 49 factors as Beverly (9-3) cruised over Saugus, 119-39, in Northeastern Convention play.

    Within the Better Boston League, senior Jacob Underwood-Roche dropped 25 factors, including eight rebounds as Somerville (9-3) held on for a 62-55 win over Malden.

    Matt Lennox paced Carver with 16 factors and Amare Santos chipped in 15 because the Crusaders upended Westport, 56-50.

    Ladies basketball

    Bella Bingham netted 18 factors as Walpole used an 8-1 run to shut out the fourth quarter to edge Norwood, 46-41.

    Boys hockey

    Cam Guerschuny scored two targets, Gavin O’Toole netted the sport winner to guide Canton to a 3-2 Hockomock League victory over King Philip.

    Ladies hockey

    Within the Patriot League, Mackenzie Ilacqua had 4 tallies as Quincy/North Quincy doubled up Plymouth, 6-3. Riley Ilacqua and Emily Lim potted the opposite targets within the successful effort.
