    Luke Kornet makes gave-saving block during Spurs-Magic

    Kornet, who’s averaging a career-high 24.9 minutes for the Spurs, seems to be having enjoyable in San Antonio.

    If Wednesday evening was any indication, former Celtics huge man Luke Kornet seems to be having enjoyable in San Antonio.

    The 7-foot-1 inch middle swatted a layup try from Orlando’s Moe Wagner as time expired Wednesday, permitting the Spurs to hold onto a 114-112 highway victory.

    Kornet pointed one hand to the gang and held the opposite again as if he have been capturing an arrow. Hugs and pats on the again from his San Antonio teammates adopted. He beamed with satisfaction after making the clutch play.

    The triumph marked San Antonio’s seventh win in 9 video games. French celebrity Victor Wembanyama has been out with a calf pressure throughout that stretch.

    Kornet, in the meantime, has been having fun with an even bigger position with the Spurs than he ever had with the Celtics, averaging a career-high 24.9 minutes per sport. He has began 9 out of the 14 video games he has performed with San Antonio this season.

    Kornet joined the Spurs on a 4-year, $41 million deal this previous offseason. The Celtics wound up shedding wage, shifting Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Vacation whereas shedding Kornet and Al Horford in free-agency.

    Kornet and the Spurs will go to the Celtics at TD Backyard on Jan. 10. The Celtics will journey to San Antonio on March 10.
