    Patriots down eight starters in Week 17 matchup with Jets

    EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The Patriots are injury-ravaged on Sunday as they get set to tackle the Jets.

    5 starters are listed amongst Sunday afternoon’s inactives. The Patriots even have three starters — extensive receiver Mack Hollins, left deal with Will Campbell and defensive deal with Milton Williams — on injured reserve.

    There may be some excellent news. Working again TreVeyon Henderson (concussion), extensive receiver DeMario Douglas (hamstring) and cornerback Charles Woods (ankle), who were all questionable, are energetic.

    Right here’s the Patriots’ full checklist of inactives:

    QB Tommy DeVito (emergency third QB)
    WR Kayshon Boutte
    LG Jared Wilson
    DT Khyiris Tonga
    OLB Harold Landry
    LB Robert Spillane

    • Boutte (concussion), Wilson (concussion), Tonga (foot), Landry (knee) and Spillane (ankle) are all starters.

    • Filling in at WR for Boutte and Hollins are rookies Kyle Williams and Efton Chism. Williams has come on stronger in latest weeks as a big-play menace. Chism has but to make his first NFL catch.

    • The Patriots are solely going with 4 WRs, so they may proceed to make the most of two-RB, two-TE and jumbo TE packages to compensate. FB Jack Westover (sickness) was dominated questionable on Saturday. If he’s feeling higher, he may see one other heavy workload.

    • Ben Brown, recent off of a two-year contract extension, will fill in for Wilson at left guard. The Patriots’ backup offensive linemen are Thayer Munford Jr., Caedan Wallace and Brenden Jaimes.

    • Cory Durden, Eric Gregory, Jeremiah Pharms Jr. and Leonard Taylor III will add depth behind Christian Barmore at defensive deal with. Durden was a pleasant discover after cuts. Gregory, a rookie, has performed 4 of the final 5 video games. Pharms simply re-signed to the 53. Taylor was minimize by the Jets in October.

    • Jack Gibbens, Christian Elliss and Jahlani Tavai will primarily fill in for Spillane. They have to be higher towards the run.

    • Anfernee Jennings, Elijah Ponder and Bradyn Swinson can fill in throughout from Okay’Lavon Chaisson at exterior linebacker. Jennings had a sack final week. Ponder, a rookie, has three sacks on the season. Swinson, one other rookie, hasn’t performed on protection but.

    • CB Kobee Minor was elevated from the observe squad and might be used on particular groups.
