    The Red Sox have signed outfielder Jarren Duran to a one-year contract. The deal is for $7.7 million, the Globe’s Alex Speier reported. Duran might make a further $75,000 in efficiency bonuses.

    Duran, 29, appeared in 157 video games in 2025, batting .256 with 41 doubles, 13 triples, 16 dwelling runs, 86 runs, 84 RBIs, and 24 stolen bases. He led the American League in triples, whereas rating third in doubles and sixth in extra-base hits (70).

    Duran’s finest season was in 2024, when he led the league in doubles (48) and triples (14) and was chosen for the All-Star Recreation. He won the Ted Williams Award because the Most Priceless Participant of the American League’s 5-3 victory after he hit the successful dwelling run, a two-run blast within the fifth inning.
