Former Patriots head coach Invoice Belichick will not be a first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, sources instructed ESPN.
Belichick is a six-time Tremendous Bowl-winning head coach and two-time Tremendous Bowl-winning assistant. He served as head coach and basic supervisor of the Patriots from 2000 to 2023, when he was fired by Kraft. Belichick is now head coach of the College of North Carolina.
The “snub” for the legendary Patriots coach didn’t go unnoticed on social media, with hypothesis circulating as to why Belichick didn’t obtain the wanted 40-of-50 votes.
