    Patriots re-sign backup quarterback on two-year contract

    Patriots quarterback Tommy DeVito is sticking round.

    The Patriots re-signed DeVito on a two-year deal value $7.4 million with $2 million assured, his agent, Sean Stellato, first instructed ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

    DeVito was set to turn out to be a restricted free agent. Tendering him would have value the Patriots $3.52 million.

    DeVito, 27, was claimed off waivers from the Giants earlier than the 2025 season and served because the Patriots’ third-string quarterback all season. He was inactive because the Patriots’ emergency third QB in all 21 video games, sitting behind Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs on the workforce’s quarterback depth chart.
