Jaylen Brown has not been shy about criticizing NBA officers this season. After Saturday’s loss to the Spurs, he delivered his harshest critique but, directing a torrent of expletives at Curtis Blair’s crew.

Brown was “irate” that the Celtics tried simply 4 free throws to San Antonio’s 20 of their 100-95 defeat at TD Garden. He referred to as officers Blair, Nick Buchert and Jason Goldenberg “horrible” and stated a number of instances that he’d settle for a positive for his NSFW feedback.

“Each time we play an excellent workforce, the inconsistency is loopy,” Brown stated. “I’ll take the (expletive) positive. Curtis and people dudes was horrible tonight. I don’t care. They’ll positive me no matter they need. Nevertheless it’s loopy. Each time we play an excellent workforce, it’s the identical (BS). Anyone please pull up the clips. I’m irate at how they officiated the sport as we speak. If we are able to’t get to the free-throw line and groups are allowed to be bodily and bump us off our spots, and so on., then it’s exhausting to win video games like that.

“We shot 4 free throws tonight and misplaced the sport by 4. To not say that’s the entire sport, the entire story. We’ve obtained to be higher in spots. I’ve obtained to be higher in spots. However goddamn. I’m driving to the basket. I’m bodily. I don’t flop. I don’t draw back from contact. I am going up robust. I’m athletic. And nothing. Zero free throws tonight. The inconsistency is (expletive) loopy. Give me the positive.”

Towards San Antonio, Brown performed a season-high 43 minutes, took 28 pictures and didn’t try a free throw. It was simply the second time this season that Brown completed a sport with zero foul pictures; he performed 22 minutes within the first, a blowout loss to the Houston Rockets on Nov. 1.

Brown additionally took issue with the officiating after the Celtics’ 114-110 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, throughout which he took three free throws. He went 12-for-13 from the road in Friday’s 125-117 win over the Toronto Raptors.

“I really feel like, actually, (the Spurs) simply obtained away with rather a lot, and I’m uninterested in the inconsistency,” stated Brown, who entered Saturday averaging a career-high 7.4 free-throw makes an attempt per sport. “I’ll settle for the positive at this level. I assumed it was some (BS) tonight. I feel they’re an excellent defensive workforce, however they ain’t that rattling good. I hope someone can simply pull up the clips, as a result of it’s the identical (expletive) each time we play an excellent workforce. It’s like they refuse to make a name. Then name contact fouls on the opposite finish. That’s simply extraordinarily irritating, bro.

“Like, we play exhausting. We’re outplaying our expectations. We compete exhausting on the defensive finish. Then they reward the opposite workforce with contact fouls. Then we go down there, and guys are allowed to get away with — I hope, simply someone please pull it up.”

Brown scored 27 factors and dedicated 5 turnovers within the loss, together with one with 47 seconds remaining and the Celtics trailing, 95-93.

“I had a expensive turnover, and I had an open look, too, on the finish, that I’ve obtained to knock down,” he stated. “I assumed we performed good as we speak, for essentially the most half.”
