    Patriots sign undrafted rookie running back, cut veteran

    The Patriots replenished their operating again depth Tuesday by signing rookie Shane Watts to their 90-man roster.

    In a corresponding roster transfer, the Patriots minimize veteran operating again Deneric Prince.

    Watts, 23, went undrafted out of Fort Hays State. The 5-foot-9, 195-pound again rushed for 1,303 speeding yards and 449 receiving yards with 17 complete touchdowns final season. He ran a 4.51-second 40-yard sprint at his professional day in March.

    He joins Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson, Antonio Gibson, JaMycal Hasty and Terrell Jennings on the Patriots’ operating again depth chart. Stevenson has missed current practices for undisclosed causes. Jennings additionally left Monday’s observe early with a coach.

    The Patriost will take part in joint practices with the Vikings on Wednesday and Thursday in Minnesota earlier than they play Saturday at 1 p.m. in preseason motion.
